Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan met in London with Jonathan Powell, National Security Adviser to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer.

The interlocutors highly appreciated the dynamic development of bilateral relations between Armenia and the United Kingdom and reaffirmed their mutual readiness to elevate them to the level of a strategic partnership. Armen Grigoryan and Jonathan Powell discussed a number of important agenda items, outlining avenues for further cooperation.

The British side welcomed the agreements recently reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington, emphasizing that they represent important steps toward the full normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The Secretary of the Security Council stressed the importance of institutionalizing the peace established in the region.

During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on current issues on the regional and international agenda.
