On August 22, the Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, received the U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia, Kristina Kvien.

The interlocutors exchanged views and, with satisfaction, emphasised the agreements reached in Washington during normalising relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

The issue of unblocking regional communication routes was also addressed, and the Secretary of the Security Council stressed that the unblocking would take place with full respect to the principles of territorial integrity, sovereignty, jurisdiction, and reciprocity of the countries.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed the agenda of Armenia–U.S. bilateral relations and the next steps to be undertaken.
