The Secretary of the Security Council Received the Representatives of the Staff of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee

On August 9, the Secretary of the Security Council, Armen Grigoryan, received the representatives of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee staff, Sara Arkin and Damian Murphy.

The Secretary of the Security Council welcomed the visit of the representatives to Armenia and emphasised the importance of such mutual visits.

At the meeting, the parties discussed various issues related to the regional and extra-regional security situation. A. Grigoryan presented to the interlocutors the humanitarian crisis created in Nagorno Karabakh as a result of the blocking of the Lachin Corridor by Azerbaijan, the position of the Armenian side regarding the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh issue, the process of the Armenia-Azerbaijan negotiations.

The parties discussed several issues on the agenda of the Armenia-US bilateral relation.
