Meeting with CSTO Secretary General

Today Secretary of the Security Council Mr. Armen Grigoryan received Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Stanislav Zas, who is on a working visit to Armenia.
During the meeting, the works were summarized, ideas were exchanged about their results. Issues related to enhancing the effectiveness of the joint fight against terrorism, combating the illicit trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances were discussed.
Secretary Grigoryan presented the situation at the line of contact of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict troops and unerlined the urgency to resolve the Artsakh issue exclusively through peaceful means, highlighting the CSTO position in it and the expectations of the Armenian society from that structure.

Secretary Zas reaffirmed the CSTO's position that there is no alternative to a peaceful resolution of the conflict.

Secretary Zas presented a number of CSTO-planned and already-implemented programs, including counter-terrorism and training exercises.

Secretary of the Security Council Mr. Armen Grigoryan also proposed to consider the possibilities of improving the official website of the CSTO, including the official languages of all the member states in the structure and publications of the site.
After the meeting, an official dinner was given on behalf of the Security Council Secretary Mr.Armen Grigoryan.
