On November 14, the Secretary of the Security Council, Armen Grigoryan, gave an interview to Petros Ghazaryan on the Public TV of Armenia.
The Secretary of the Security Council noted that the economy has a unique value in Armenian-Iranian bilateral relations, which already includes a security aspect by answering Petros Ghazaryan's question, why does the Secretary of the Security Council discuss issues related to the economy in a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart?
Referring to RA-CSTO relations, A. Grigoryan noted that in May 2021, when the armed forces of Azerbaijan invaded the sovereign territory of Armenia, Armenia appealed to the CSTO. From that moment until September last year, when Azerbaijan again attacked the sovereign territory of Armenia, Armenia again appealed to the organisation by requesting assistance but did not receive any to defend its sovereign territory. All this has caused many questions to which Armenia has not yet received an answer, despite the fact that there have been discussions in different formats.
During the interview, reference was also made to Armenia's military relations with both Western and Eastern partners, within which Secretary Grigoryan noted that Armenia only moves on the agenda of peace, and the acquisition of new military equipment is carried out only to protect the sovereign territory of Armenia.
